EU NEIGHBOURS. The Greencubator and the media outlet Ukrainer have published a series of success stories called ‘Green expedition’ about the use of green innovations in business. Two of these stories are about Ukrainian companies that previously received grants under the EU programme ‘Climate innovation vouchers’ to expand their business.

V.A.Solutions is a Ukrainian provider of cloud-based solutions for the automation of real estate management. After being approved by the ‘Climate innovation vouchers’, the company started the development of an energy efficiency management module to supplement its real estate management platform. The platform helps retailers, large business centres, postal services and other customers in Ukraine to get a detailed overview of their energy consumption and key energy loss points. The company then helps its customers to become more energy efficient and make significant savings through automated energy efficiency management.

Scientific and production company Zond provides services for professional diagnosis, technical reviews and certification of gas facilities, industrial machines and gas equipment. Thanks to the EU programme, the company created the portable device GAS-Hi-Q for measuring the calorific output of natural gas. This device detects gas quality and adjusts gas boilers’ parameters accordingly.

The ‘Climate innovation vouchers’ programme is developed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the EU and is implemented in Ukraine by Greencubator.
