“Nobody removed the flag of Artsakh that was spitted on, if spitting on the flag is a political protest, that protest continues until now”: Hrachya Hakobyan

April 13,2022 13:13

“We have not washed our hands of Artsakh,” Hrachya Hakobyan, a member of the Civil Contract, told reporters in the National Assembly on April 12, responding to the opposition boycott. The head of the Armenia faction Seyran Ohanyan brought the flag of Artsakh and placed it on the NA podium. In response, Hrachya Hakobyan said, “First of all, one must understand the purpose of spitting the flag. It is a political action, the flag of Artsakh is placed on the tables of all of them, and no one has removed it.

We saw that Seyran Ohanyan was right from the pulpit, there is a video of him spitting and sticking in a sticky place. If spitting on the flag is a political protest, that protest continues to this day, and no one has removed it from their tables.” In response to our question about how Alen Simonyan said that in order to go to Artsakh, the issue of respecting the absence of the opposition and keeping them from their salaries should be considered, as the public pays them for the activities of the National Assembly, in which case the question arises: did the public want Alen Simonyan to go on a business trip to Bali?

Hrachya Hakobyan answered, “These are parliamentary visits. As for that, there is no decision yet. Alen Simonyan said, ‘We need to understand how expedient it is to formulate this as a political action or as a business trip.’”
