At the meeting with the diplomatic representatives of 30 countries in the Republic of Armenia on September 16 in Jermuk, Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Edward Asryan, in response to the question of one of the attendees, stated that the enemy committed war crimes in all directions of attacks. The interested party asked to explain in detail what crimes took place. The chief of the General Staff stated, “After the end of this meeting, I will show you a video in which… I can’t find words to describe how they dismembered the female soldier and cut off her legs, fingers, stripped her naked… it’s the last level of brutality.”
Another diplomat was also interested in the directions of the attack. Edward Asryan said that Azerbaijan attacked in five directions. “The opponent’s successes in those directions cannot be compared with the Jermuk direction. There are directions where there is a depth of 1-1.5 km. I am referring to the direction of Nerkin Hand. It also has a positional advantage in the direction of Shorzha. In other areas, we managed to push the enemy back. And in the direction of Ishkhanasar, the enemy was successful for about half a kilometer.”
Since September 13, Azerbaijan has been carrying out a large-scale military attack against the sovereign territories of Armenia, from the border areas of Gegharkunik, Vayots Dzor, and Syunik.
