Fifteen non-governmental organizations, political parties, and figures held a press conference the other day and announced the new movement. The Chairman of the Democratic Party of Armenia, Aram Sargsyan, said they should show what it means to work together and strive for a change of power. “We announce that on February 20, the day of the 35th anniversary of beginning the Artsakh national liberation struggle, we are obliged to return to the days when our people were united. At this moment, when under this government’s policy, we have temporarily found ourselves in the role of losers; we must restart the national liberation struggle to solve the national problems.”
Aram Sargsyan said they propose to unite around three ideas: the first is to save Artsakh, the second is to orientate in foreign policy and find natural allies, and the third is the idea of being together. Sargsyan had made up his mind regarding foreign policy. “We have no right to be hostile toward Russia, which maintains our security.” Speakers promised to discuss other issues in more detail during the rally, discussing their plans and road map with the public.
