The young CC member, “as a member of the team” and “as a citizen,” was worried about the thought expressed by opposition MP Aghvan Vardanyan in the interview and expressed his concern as a question addressed to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. Using the sports parallel was a very convenient “over-the-air” pass of the ball to “hit” from above.
It has nothing to do with the NA-government question and answer. The Prime Minister, of course, took advantage of that opportunity, saying that Artsakh was handed over by the “formers,” implying that Aghvan Vardanyan, when he was a minister, was busy with bad things, and claiming that the rule of law is now in Armenia. Therefore, Aghvan Vardanyan should be dealt with by law enforcement officers.
In short, ordinary CC propaganda, which in this case is presented as a “question and answer.”
By the way, if there was a dictatorship of law in Armenia, then the head of the executive power should not announce from the NA podium that the law enforcement officers should deal with his opponent because the latter perceive it as an instruction. I do not doubt that Aghvan Vardanyan will be called for questioning after all this. Political repressions are also specific to these supposedly “democratic” authorities. I wrote about it in yesterday’s editorial, and yesterday’s arrest of Armen Ashotyan is new proof of it.

However, agreeing with the opposition MP that Artsakh and Armenian statehood, in general, are in mortal danger because of the policies of these authorities, I will allow myself to note that the priority issue is not getting rid of Pashinyan and the “determined murderers” do not solve any problem.
The opposition should do something else: formulate what kind of state Armenia should become to face the mentioned dangers.
But more than formulating is needed; we must convince the majority of society that this is the way out. I, for example, have my idea of such a state. I am afraid, however, that such a prospect will not appeal to the majority.
