On October 25, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Paruyr Hovhannisyan received Andzejs Vilumsons, the Under-Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia.
During the meeting, the parties touched upon the issues of bilateral agenda, the deepening of the Armenia-EU partnership and the cooperation within international organizations.
Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan briefed the Latvian side on the situation resulting from Azerbaijan’s policy of ethnic cleansing, in particular on the efforts by the Government of Armenia aimed at providing assistance to the forcibly displaced refugees from Nagorno Karabakh, including the work carried out with international partners. In this regard, Paruyr Hovhannisyan thanked Latvian Government for the decision to provide assistance to Armenia.
