It is possible that the Democratic Party of Armenia will defend RPA leader Serge Sargsyan candidacy in the upcoming presidential elections in 2008. DPA leader Aram Sargsyan declared about it in «Pastark» club yesterday. In his words they will take that step if Serge Sargsyan initiates actions which will guarantee destruction of clan system, provide national security and restore national value system. In A. Sargsyan\’s opinion, Armenia need in systematic changes, and it is not clear whether it will be done under people’s pressure or will be initiated by the ruling clique. He also noted that he considered impossible the nomination of joint candidate of the opposition.
