That is where the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Armenia suggests they continue the dialogue

The latest round of the dialogue probably showed that during the dialogue that has lasted for a month the sides have not come to an agreement. The ANC sticks to its conviction that holding the pre-term election is reasoned, the authorities on the other hand think that the arguments of the Congress do not explain its necessity. Yesterday analyzing the results of the government-ANC dialogue during a conversation with “Aravot”, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Armenia Ruben Tovmasyan expressed his puzzlement first about the closed format of the discussions, “The slogan is put forward that everything is done for the people, for the democracy, but the people do not know anything about those meetings, even the most stubborn journalists do not manage to pick up anything. The rare, little, limited statements after the meeting do not say and give anything.  They smile at each other on TV, proudly sit down and get up and what? Let them show the tables of the mutual breaks to the people.” All this makes Tovmasyan be more convinced that the dialogue is an excuse to mark time and the time is against the people. Therefore, in accordance with the spirit of the dialogue, the Central Committee of the first secretary of the Communist Party of Armenia suggests, “They can change the reception house of the cabinet for the circus arena”, especially, considering the fact that outstanding figure of the Republican Party Galust Sahakyan assessed the dialogue before its start as a “mimicry” and ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrossian described those meetings as “formal meetings”. Let us remind that earlier Ruben Tovmasyan called the dialogue “a paper house”. By the way, in Tovmasyan’s opinion, that dialogue is not between the ANC and the government, but between the government and the Pan-Armenian National Movement, because the ANC delegation is entirely comprised of former outstanding members of HHSh (Pan-Armenian National Movement) “whose moral and political images are well-known to the people.”
By the way, August 19 was the 20th anniversary of the unsuccessful coup in the Soviet Union. A few months later the Soviet Union eventually collapsed. Referring to that issue after 20 years, Tovmasyan says that there was a big betrayal against the Soviet Union committed by the rule of Gorbachev and assisted by Shevardnadze, Yakovlev and their henchmen in the individual republics, because as a result of the referendum held, 76 percent of the population of the Soviet Union voted for the Union. However, “A group of people were able to organize, as many say, the collapse of the country, but I say dissolution. The Soviet Union was dissolved because of the treacherous signatures, and not because the people rose. This was a result of the policy of the US, Great Britain and Germany. They were able to bring the country to that as a result of Gorbachev’s limited mentality.” Comrade Tovmasyan criticizes also GKChP (the State Committee for a State of Emergency), “I shared the ideas and devoted myself to the people, who wanted to preserve the Soviet Union with cosmetic changes, but they lacked consistency and courage and they were not able to link the putsch to the people. GKChP was unable to make the revolutionary and courageous move that was needed at the moment, which the democrats used and achieved their goals using “democratic” methods. Gorbachev along with his tayfa (clan) defiled the whole generation, its future and past. Gorbachev must be tried by the whole people. He fulfilled the wishes of all those who were not able to subdue the people’s will during the Great Patriotic War.” As the main advantages of the Soviet Union the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Armenia points out keeping the peace not only in the Soviet Union, but also around the world, positive interethnic relations. In this context referring to the 20th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Armenia and the arrangements concerning that event, he quotes an idea read somewhere, “that day will be the day of kissing” and adds, “They will celebrate very stylishly, they will praise themselves as much as they can, they will say as many lies as they can, they will extol themselves as much as they can, but what are 20 years of independence – poverty, ruined industry, ruined science and educational system, poor, nomadic peasants, emigration, unemployment, vulgarization of the culture, state of war.. We have seen every bad thing possible for the past twenty years. We have nothing to say to our people in regard to the 20th anniversary. This system has compromised itself, is in agony on the international level and must be no more. Only nationalization of the strategic, having state importance spheres will rescue Armenia from this situation and the economic crimes committed since 1990s have no expiry date and the people who have committed those will stand the people’s trial.”
