According to the information of www.aravot.am, today Hovhannes Shahinyan, a former head of the community of Arabkir, and a few other members of the RPA, have handed in applications for leaving the party addressed to the President of the Republic of Armenia. Mr. Shahinyan confirmed our news saying that he would speak of that after the election. Instead, Armen Martoyan, the manager of the Arabkir district office, “concealed” that fact. In response to our question whether there were such applications and why those people had decided to leave the ranks of the RPA, Armen Martoyan, the manager of the Arabkir district office, said that he had been working since 10 a.m. and hadn’t received any application, “I haven’t registered any such thing yet. I don’t know where you have gotten that information. I cannot answer your question.”
We inquired whether the wish of those persons to leave had been oral. Mr. Martoyan said, “Our party is a party that is united around an idea and if there are such people among us who want to leave, we don’t prevent anyone, it is their right, there has been no one who wished to leave, on the contrary, there have been those who wanted to become members.”
