Sergey Danielyan Talks About Fining the Dismantling Brigade

June 13,2012 15:37

For actor Sergey Danielyan, the decision of the Administrative Court to levy a fine of 50 000 AMD on members of the brigade established to dismantle the booths in Mashtots Park is a message of the police, “Look, admittedly, we have done what you said, but we are the state, we can cross the limits, i.e. we should always demonstrate our power, if we want, we can punish you.”

According to the actor, inflicting administrative punishment, they also intend to limit civic activity, “It is a thing of the past, but they must say don’t be happy so much, we are the state, we are the power and any protest against us will be punished. It is a reality that we are very far from being civilized and will not be such for another 100 years. Because nothing is built in parks and pleasure grounds in a civilized country, monuments are not destroyed, as the Afrikyans’ building is being destroyed right now, they don’t build high-rises in the center of a city, there is no deforestation.”

Let us remind that the police demanded from the court to hold members of the dismantling brigade accountable for disobeying the police orders.
