Armen Martirosyan, Vice-president of “Heritage” party, explains the voting of the agreement to hand over the 20 % share of “ARG” to Russia for Armenia’s debt of 300 million in his own way. “The power is not formed with our votes, but with Russia’s “dobros” (approval). Therefore, they should first serve to Russia. There is no surprise here.” As said by Mr. Martirosyan, citizens crowded in front of the National Assembly have come to call the authorities to sobriety. “After all this, there is one way out. Since we have a government that works against the Constitution, there is no other way out than the change of power.”
David Shahnazaryan, former minister of National Security of Armenia, was also participating in the protest going on in front of the National Assembly. “There are people here who were not even sure that their attendance would change. They have come because they could not help coming. Yes, Armenia will change. We will get rid of these authorities and protect our sovereignty and statehood. These authorities are provoking the public into revolt.”
