Easy way to dispel doubts

April 10,2015 12:09

There is a very clear pattern. As soon as the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan gives an interview, in parallel, minor party leaders and politicians become active, who are in sympathy with this politician but do not want to admit it. There is, of course, nothing bad in becoming active or being in sympathy with. Only, it is desirable for these manifestations to be explicit so that to understand who and why for he is talking.

It is obvious that the words of Kocharyan-supporting (or, to say the least, “allegedly Kocharyan-supporting”) experts and politicians is often not scientific, but purely campaigning, and you do not know whether these people are writing or speaking on their behalf, for their “scientific truths” or are voicing Kocharyan’s thoughts and are fighting for Kocharyan’s return. The method to dispel all these doubts is very simple. The second president establishes his party, becomes the leader and enrolls the representatives and adherent experts of the aforementioned parties into the structure of this political power. Robert Kocharyan has all the material potentials for it: his hand, fortunately, is “not under the rock.”

Let this party participate in the 2017 parliamentary elections and once again tell during the campaign in what paradise we were living during Kocharyan’s tenure, and what kind of prosperity, justice and the absence of monopolies will happen if the second president returns to power. If this party wins the election, then the issue of “being reproduced through constitutional amendments” will come out of the agenda, about which we hear complaints today, truly, not so loud than before. If the situation develops by this scenario, during the parliamentary system, the Kocharyan-supporters will have the majority in the Parliament, and either personally the second president or “his authorized person” will become a prime minister. And in the case of preservation of the presidential system, Kocharyan will again become President.

Hardly, I would give my vote to this alleged party, but honestly, I will be in favor of its establishment, because it will bring clarity in the political field and will make the election campaign more interesting. One more thing I would like to add. If there are evidences of Kocharyan’s illegal activity, then, dear government authorities, judge him according to the laws of Armenia. If not, do not hint at them during the political debate.

The same, by the way, I can say about the Founding Parliament – the political activity should be limited to only by the law. If I do not like this or that political force and its practice, yet, it is not a reason to arrest its representatives.
