Regardless of the fact what will be announced today and tomorrow by the government or the parliament it is already clear that the goals of the state, national organizations and the 100th anniversary are realized in connection with the implementation of universal values of all political forces of the world that expressed their support for our country and our people. Moreover, it was announced that we are a nation that created the mentioned civilization and we are unique and compelling by our cultures.
How to use the advantages given to us, this is the problem? Is it just compensation or demanding lands? It seems to me it would not be reasonable to spend all our potential on this. The 100-year anniversary may become the reason that we asses and understand ourselves: based on all these to try to change our lives.
In today`s condition, of not only Western Armenia but all the world is devoted to Armenians it has no sense until we can organize our lives at home, there is no meaning in having the “lands”. By saying “we”, I mean all the people who consider themselves Armenians. The soil should not only be “demanded” but also perceived, built and developed. On the slogan level, we understand that without an economically and politically strong Armenia, no compensation and no claims are possible. But in practical life we unite only in connection with the April 24, this day we just feel “a team player.” The rest of the days we Armenians are unnecessary condemning each other and the attitude towards Armenians living abroad ( the country, the development of which, I repeat, as everyone is convinced is key to our success) would even be too abstract, virtual. As a result, the enormous potential of the “soil” that we have, we leave crude.
… And it need to be the reason of “April 24” for us to hear from the prestigious foreigners that we are a good nation. We probably do not consider ourselves to be so good.
