On September 25, the next regular public hearing on the subject of “Armenia’s political and economic isolation and its consequences” was held in Azerbaijani Tekali village, Marneuli region, Georgia. It was attended by the residents of Noyemberyan, Baku, Gazakh and Marneuli. At the end of the hearing, the participants voted for “Is Armenia’s isolation a regional security risk?”. 26 of the participants of the hearing voted for, 2 – abstained, and nobody – against.
We asked one of the 4 rapporteurs on the topic, Azerbaijani political analyst Zardusht Alizadeh, how it is that Azerbaijan sells its oil and gas to the West and Europe, thereby replenishing the state budget, but it has become closer with Russia on foreign policy and the European organization are adopting resolutions condemning Azerbaijan.
Alizadeh said, “The political position of Venezuela is a left-wing, earlier it was Hugo Chavez, now it is Nicolás Maduro, who constantly intimidate the U.S. However, 90 percent of Venezuela’s oil is sold to the United States.
