In an interview with Aravot.am, Elmon Yeghnukyan who is Karo Yeghnukyan daughter and was forcibly taken to the police station, said, “Yesterday, at 1 pm, we decided with friends to make a poster and decided to write in short and precise, there is no way out, when we finished drawing it, the police officers came and detained us. By scuffling quite forcedly, causing us pain and holding from our hands and feet, they did not present any substantiation or claim about violation of any law, they took some of us to the Erebuni district police department and others to the Kentron police department. My sister, I and other young people were in the Erebuni district police department, we were immediately taken to the Criminal Section and were not told why they have detained us and why we are here. Thet did a personal searching, checked documents and in the end, it turned out that we are suspected of committing a crime.

What crime? We did not understand this too. Thus, they kept us 5 and a half hours and did not allow any unnecessary action there, they talked to us normal, they treated us normal without using violence. At 7 pm, they released me.” As Elmon Yeghnukyan mentioned, the police officers put them to shame why they are doing such things, saying that they seek bloodshed with their moves as such. “We tried to explain that we do not seek bloodshed by making a poster, we have come because we do not want bloodshed. As for the inscription of the poster “There is no other way out”, it refers to the fact that these people – the “Sasna Tsrer” group – believes that there is no other way and are trying to achieve something in this way and not to shed blood for no reason.” We met Elmon Yeghnukyan in Khorenatsi Street, which was blocked by the police.
