“It seemed to be a small war, immediately black smoke arose, something bright came toward us and fell just on me. Everything blackened, you could hear a strong murmur, we were growing deaf and suddenly, I felt blood. I could not feel my legs,” – told Marine Interezyan to Aravot.am who was affected by collisions and explosions occurred yesterday on Khorenatsi Street. Now, Marine is in the “Erebuni” medical center, an unknown citizen seeing her bleeding in the scene had taken her home on his car. At night, Marine had to go to the hospital as the wounds were serious. “I had seven injuries on my body and the doctors were taking “plastic” pieces from my wounds. The doctors examined me thoroughly and I am thankful to them, they did everything.”
“Erebuni” medical center told Aravot.am that Marine has fractures of lower limbs and torn wounds, she receives the required medication, tomorrow they will treat the wound, clean the remains of the pieces, stitch the wounds and probably, the next day she will go home. Her health state is not heavy. Marine did not want us to take a photo of her as she had wounds on her face. We also learned from the hospital that currently, 7 people affected by yesterday’s incident are undergoing a treatment at the “Erebuni” hospital, 12 police officers and one civilian have been discharged from the hospital. As to why Marine had appeared in the center of the events in Khorenatsi Street, she tells, “My heroes do not have water and no food, so I decided to go and support them with my presence. I was there for an hour and was standing far back and I could not hear what people were talking in the front but I noticed people throwing bottles at each other and then people began to run back.”
Marine says that she has also attended the events of March 1, 2008, at that time she was not injured, “Once, when Putin was here (it was during the days of gas agreement), we had organized a protest and I was detained to the police station. You know, I cannot remain indifferent of what they do with my nation, what injustice are taking place from top to bottom. And after all, how can we not fight? Why Sefilyan was arrested while Surik Khachatryan’s son was released after killing a person? How come we should not fight against all this? Elections are rigged. Which one should I say?”
