The Azerbaijani forces violated the ceasefire along the Line of Contact between Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan more than 65 times on the night of December 8-9, firing over 1,000 shots from weapons of different calibers.
As NKR Defense Ministry reports in a released statement, the adversary violated the ceasefire intensively in the eastern (Akna) direction of the Line of Contact. Apart from firearms, Azerbaijani forces applied sniper rifles (54 shells) and automatic grenade launcher (4 projectiles) in the southeastern (Martuni) direction of the Line of Contact.
NKR Defense Army vanguard units largely refrained from response actions and continued confidently carrying out their combat duties, reads the statement.
