May 24,2017 14:50

“Perhaps some people did not like the results of the parliamentary elections, however, this was the first time that the post-electoral developments did not cast a shadow on those results”, told Khosrov Harutyunyan, a deputy of the Republican Party, the Chairman of the NA Committee on Economic Affairs during the press conference. The public has expectations from the parliament. Khosrov Harutyunyan notices no political and backstage intrigues, especially, as president Serzh Sargsyan had promised, the Prime Minister was immediately re-appointed, the government will soon be formed, and they can infer conclusions.

During his one and half hour speech in the parliament, the president also talked about the settlement of the Artsakh issue, rejecting the Madrid principles formulated during Robert Kocharyan’s presidency, and the settlement option proposed by Levon Ter-Petrosian. The president’s speech was followed by a statement of the OSCE Minsk Group, whether anything is being changed in the settlement process. To the question, why the president made these clarifications now, Khosrov Harutyunyan replied, that in his opinion, the president stated that the Kazan document is the improved version of the Madrid principles, and he simply clarified Ter-Petrosian’s approaches, not to cause any confusions, since they brought to a mass reaction not only in Armenia. Khosrov Harutyunyan assures that no documents without any note of a referendum date will be signed.
