Members of Yerevan City Council “Yerkir Tsirani” faction, Hayk Petrosyan and Mnatsakan Parakshiev, who were accused of betraying the interests of Yerevan citizens and deviating from the ideology of the party, held a conference.
Parakshiev and Hayk Petrosyan noted that after the “Yerkir Tsirani” party’s statement and ungrounded accusations they were open for further dialogue and settlement, but so far, they have not received any response. Therefore, they have decided to leave the faction, and Mnatsakan Parakshiev also from the party council, party and the list of the party founders. “We will continue to protect the interests of Yerevan citizens and implement the Yerevan program as independent members of Elders’ Council”.
They announced that they are not going to create a party or join any party in the near future, “We demonstrate an active political stance. We will be open to cooperation with politicians and political powers that share our approaches. Receiving votes from our citizens, we feel obliged to them and cannot betray their trust. We will regularly speak in the media and will be responsible for our work”.
In response to the question whether they mean they will join a faction when they say they are open to cooperation, Hayk Petrosyan said that they will work separately, and will not join any faction yet.
