On September 27, the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Ruben Rubinyan met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to Armenia Inga Stanytė-Toločkienė.
Welcoming the guest in the parliament Ruben Rubinyan highlighted the deepening of the inter-parliamentary cooperation between Armenia and Lithuania, in this context the interlocutors underlined the development of cooperation between the namesake Committees of the parliaments of the two countries.
The Committee Chair highly assessed the fact of the Armenian Genocide recognition by Lithuania.
The parties considered important the application of the RA-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement. The Ambassador has noted that Lithuania supports the launch of the dialogue over the liberalisation of the entry visa to the EU countries.

During the meeting they also discussed issues regarding the regional problems.
Touching upon the Nagorno Karabakh problem, Ruben Rubinyan considered concerning the bellicose statements permanently sounding from Azerbaijan, noting that it does not stem from the logic of the conflict peaceful settlement. According to the Committee Chair, in the conflict solution for Armenia the priority is the security and status of Artsakh.
