Pashinyan: ‘There is interesting movement in the negotiations process’

November 04,2019 17:16

“There is movement in the negotiations process… very interesting movement,” Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said about the Artsakh conflict during a Facebook live video. He assured that there are no conspiracies against Artsakh. “My main focus is to make sure that we can come up with solutions during negotiations that will be acceptable for the Armenian people. When a similar solution or suggestion is made, I will present it to you and we will discuss it as a nation. We need to make decisions as a country,” the Prime Minister said.

He noted, “People always ask me how this can be done. There are several ways. If necessary, we can have a national referendum. There is no solution at the moment that we can present to the public now. There have been rumors lately that there are disagreements between the authorities of Armenia and Artsakh. People are trying to say that this is the situation surrounding the Artsakh issue. I can confidently say that the views the Artsakh government and the Armenian government hold towards the conflict resolution are the same. This is important. It cannot be any other way.”
