On April 18, at 18:23 an emergency call was received to Crisis management national center that car accident had occurred on Vanadzor-Stepanavan roadway of Kotayk province: three cars collided.
The operative group and two fire units from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MES of RA dispatched to the scene.
It turned out that “VAZ-2121” (driver A. Gh. born in 1987), “Volkswagen Golf” (driver H. G. born in 1978) and “Mitsubishi Pajero” (driver A. A. born in 1953) cars collided, as a result “Mitsubishi Pajero” car turned onto its side and the driver H. G. of “Volkswagen Golf” car was blocked in the car on the 7th km of Vanadzor-Stepanavan roadway.
Before the rescuers arrived at the scene, the casualties were hospitalized to the medical center of Vanadzor town by the local forces. The doctors assessed the health conditions of A. A. (born in 2006), I. A. (born in 2010), K. G. (born in 1983), A. G. (born in 2005), T. G. (born in 1983), H. G. (born in 1978), K. Gh. (born in 1964) and A. Gh. (born in 1962) as satisfactory and A. Gh. (born in 1964) died.
