“The people who were giving Meghri want to accuse us of giving Meghri. Meghri is an indivisible part of the Republic of Armenia, and it will remain as such,” acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced during the election campaign in the Gyulagarak community of the Lori province. In Stepanavan, he said that one million people’s salaries, pensions, or benefits increased over the course of 1.5 years.
“Pensions were so low in Armenia that we need to increase it over the next ten years for it to reach an appropriate, humane level.” He assured the people of Stepanavan that they must rekindle the dream they lost during the war and their faith in the future. In Metsavan, Pashinyan once again announced that we are living in paradise. However, people here simply don’t feel as though they are living in paradise.
