“We have a task to implement because we do not have the conditions for carrying out demarcation and delimitation at the moment. Those are carried out when there are peaceful conditions, when enemies become neighbors, and when an intergovernmental committee is formed to implement that,” the head of the Armenia alliance faction, Seyran Ohanyan, said during the session of parliament regarding Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s willingness to carry out demarcation and delimitation with Azerbaijan.
“But the issue here is something else. Azerbaijanis have invaded our territory and aren’t leaving. I believe that all the important strategic points that we verbally surrendered to the Azeris without a fight will cause problems later when the Azeris withdraw or are sent back. Therefore, dealing with the border demarcation issue now is premature and will create dangerous conditions for Armenia and Artsakh. It includes the issue of recognizing the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, which immediately endangers the issue of Artsakh. This is the reality,” Seyran Ohanyan said.
