The US International Republican Institute has published the results of its regular sociological survey. The survey was conducted in January-March, 2023. Those results have caused some enlivened in the opposition circles, but, in vain․ The fact that most of our citizens are dissatisfied with the country’s state is evident without any survey.
However, it is also clear that Nikol Pashinyan has the highest rating among the figures in the arena. Now the oppositionists are excited, saying: look, Pashinyan has only a 14% rating, but that number cannot be considered in isolation, separated from other data. We must look at who comes after Pashinyan regarding trust and by what percentage.
Accordingly, Ararat Mirzoyan is in second place with 3%, while Robert Kocharyan, Aram Z.Sargsyan, and Alen Simonyan collected 2% each. Ararat Mirzoyan and Alen Simonyan are government representatives. Robert Kocharyan is in the opposition, but he has not been in the arena for several months, and Aram Sargsyan can be considered an oppositionist with significant reservations. His main topic is Russia, and from his sometimes fair criticism, one can understand that the cause of our disasters is that country, not Nikol Pashinyan.
But the most exciting data in that survey is 64%, so many citizens declared that they do not trust anyone. It means that people are deeply, to put it mildly, tired of politicians and parties. Therefore, if Pashinyan’s opponents want to change power, they should take non-standard steps.

Levon Ter-Petrosyan once proposed something similar. The three former presidents join but declare that they will not personally claim any mandate or position, and for some time, the government will not consist of politicians. This particular offer is no longer relevant at the moment. But a similar solution can be found in the case of rising above desire and personal ambitions.
