“We have been in a concentration camp since June 15, 2023; take immediate measures.” The appeal of the President of the National Assembly of Artsakh to the United Nations

The National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh convened an extraordinary session on July 21, and the National Address of the Republic of Artsakh presented by the factions of the National Assembly was on the agenda. First, NA Speaker Arthur Tovmasyan gave a speech and read the message addressed to the United Nations. “The main sin of the people living in the Republic of Artsakh is that we are innocent. Azerbaijan is a multi-ethnic country; we have lived side by side for thousands of years.

Even today, we are ready to live with our neighbors on the “equal to equal” principle. In that case, we will replace the tank with a tractor, the machine gun with a shovel. On one occasion, one of the presidents of the Republic of Artsakh said: “Prison is for man.”

From December 12, 2022, to June 15, 2023, we were in that prison, from June 15, 2023, until now, in a concentration camp. That is not for a human being. In world history, we have the example of fascist Germany, whose crimes against humanity were condemned by the reasonable world. Today, the people of Artsakh are facing a humanitarian disaster and an existential problem.

Our physical existence is at stake; every day of life could be our last. This type of Armenian is a peace-loving, hard-working people who have always built their lives with hard work, with the desire for neighborly relations with their neighbors. Only political solutions can bring peace to the region. Take immediate measures; we believe in you,” said Arthur Tovmasyan.
