TOSSING EGGS IS A HOOLIGANISM

Our policemen didn\’t reply when the crowd was tossing eggs on the oppositionists during meetings in 2003-2004. But 11 persons were brought to the police station for tossing eggs on the court building on April 4, 2007.

Or rather four participants were taken just at the court building, the rest were taken from the streets and their flats. Karo Karapetyan, Kadmos Bagiyan, Gagik Galstyan, Smbat Yeritsyan, Arkady Tsakalyan and others were among them, and Arsen Kharatyan went to the police station voluntarily.
“The policemen were trying to find out who had been the organizers, who had tossed the eggs, -Armen Yeghyan told. – I, as one of the organizers of the meeting of protest “In favor Jirayr Sefilyan\’s and Vardan Malkhasyan\’s defense”, shouldered the responsibility. Three colonels “invited” Vahan Sargsyan, the former chief of Military Police of Kotayk region, to the Central Investigation Division. Vahan Sargsyan has informed that he has been released from the police at midnight. He wasn\’t showed the reasons of being brought but was accused for “breaking public order”. While Vahan Sargsyan has pronounced during the procession the verse of his “super oppositionist poet”. It was titled “Cat\’s protest to Aghvan Hovsepyan”.
There is an interesting detail: while Armen Yeghyan affirms that they have thrown the eggs to the windows of the court, Vahan Sargsyan told that he had recognized several “NSS agents” who turned to that slander.
