Anahit Bakshyan, the member of “Heritage” faction, thinks and is sure that the leader of her party is the only deserved candidate for the post of the country president.
“Heritage” has a short experience in the parliament but you have already left an impression of a more active and efficient party, there is no issue that your faction members haven\’t replied to, will you have enough energy to work such efficiently during the autumn session. Will you have the same apprehension during the autumn session?
– First of all I should say that it wasn\’t the lack of experience as several people noted. We are simply loyal to the position of lawmaker; the true parliamentarian should be very active. I am surprised that other opposition members and former parliamentarians didn\’t take that offered opportunity, showing that they can raise all the actual problems with their small quantity.
– Your faction is not so big, 7 members, how will you struggle?
– Seven standpoints are already standpoints, seven opinions are also power. There were only seven questions, seven speeches, the rest of them simply pressed the buttons, so seven is not so few.
– What will you do if Raffi Hovanisyan\’s citizenship is an obstacle for his nomination as a presidential candidate?
– It will be sad, I myself struggle against that unfair fact but on the other hand we are busy in the elections in number 15 polling station, and we are worry about this elections. And the version of the joint candidate isn\’t underlined yet but I myself wish of the historical moment when leader of party Raffi Hovanisyan would be nominated and elected as the RA President. This is the future of Armenia. If we want to have a country we have dreamed of, where each citizen will live with dignity and in a country with the rule of law, Raffi Hovanisyan will have no alternative.
– But there are also other names to be spoken about, wich is your attitude towards Levon Ter-Petrosyan\’s return?
– Frankly speaking, I have no standpoint, as I don\’t want to decipher that politician\’s activities during the last 8 years. I don\’t know how he will explain his absence, where he has been during our pain and tragedy? I don\’t have anything to say as a parliamentarian.
