During the holiday season events were organized for kids with participation of Santa Claus. On January 4 during such a concert in Ajapnyak community while Santa Claus was solemnly entering, the flags of the Republican Party were woven. One was under the impression that Santa Claus was a Republican himself and his fellow party members had come to support him.
Aravot.am tried to clarify from the education and culture division of Ajapnyak community whether that festival had had any sponsors. The head of the division assured that there was no sponsor and in response to the question then why the flags of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) had been woven instead of the Armenian tricolor, he said, “Well, the Republican Party organized it.” Realizing the implication of our questions, the head of the division assured that not a penny from the community budget had been spent on the event.
