Aram Manukyan, the Pan-Armenian National Movement (PANM) leader, told at the Hayatsk (view) Club today that he himself had noticed a case of election bribe during the election in Hrazdan. According to him, the proxy of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) candidate, Aram Danielyan, systematically brought people to the election district and saw them out. After another case of bringing voters, Aram Manukyan followed them and he saw Danielyan’s proxy bargaining with an “alcoholic,” he wanted to pay 3500 AMD instead of 5000 AMD. As soon as the proxy saw Aram Manukyan, he escaped and when he brought the voter to the electoral district, he emptied his pockets and isolated him, waiting for the police to arrive. According to Aram Manukyan, the money disappeared, while the police were coming, “The fingerprints of both the bribe giver and the bribe taker were on that money. The money disappeared. Probably, the man ate it, because when they took his clothes off, the money had disappeared.” Aravot.am tried to clarify whether the man had chewed and swallowed the money, Aram Manukyan said that he hadn’t seen the chewing process, but when they hadn’t found the money after searching, taking his clothes off, it had been clear that this had been the only way to conceal the money.
