One of the promises, but not the only one, made by the Rule of Law Party before the 2008 election and kept is free birth aid. Heghine Bisharyan, the deputy chairman of the party, told www.aravot.am about this assuring that the pre-election program put forward by them in 2008 accounted for 90 percent of the reforms carried out by the Cabinet, “When we were going for the election in 2008, people wanted money from us, they would say anxiously that a child would be born in their family, they didn’t have the minimum amount of money needed for that and we have eventually managed to realize that pre-election article, which was primary for us, we have managed to solve that issue.”
In Ms. Bisharyan’s words, the construction works in the disaster area was also their pre-election promise, “The problem of restoring the disaster area was one of the key articles… and you see how actively the construction works are carried out in the disaster zone so that the problem with residence in temporary apartments or shelters will be solved within the next two years.”
We also inquired from Ms. Bisharyan why the posters and booklets of their party had appeared in garbage cans after their rally yesterday, “Those were one-time posters, we told
them that there were special cans to put them. Therefore, our ill-wishers have already gotten into garbage cans to take them from there and to write about the Rule of Law Party.”
