www.aravot.am inquired of Armenian National Congress (ANC) MP Aram Manukyan what he expected from the court decision regarding the ANC activists. He replied, “Let them decide what they will do. We know what we will do.”
In response to a question whether 6 years, which the prosecutor had mentioned, was not a long term, taking into account that Tigran Arakelyan had not killed anyone, hadn’t committed a serious crime, Mr. Manukyan said, “Not only should they not charge, but those who charge should be charged themselves and we will try to make it be so. I have at least made a statement, I will do my best to involve all international organizations, a member of which Armenia and the Pan-Armenian National Movement (PANM) is, in order that there are no political prisoners in Armenia. I promise you that. I know what I will do. Let them decide what they will do.”
