Land of “unsuccessful staff”

January 14,2014 14:28

It appears that in early 2000’s a construction bubble was being inflated in Armenia to the detriment of our country and its future development of economy, and the President of the Central Bank of Armenia was not uttering a word about this “bubble”. On the other hand, it appears that over 10-year period, in 1998-2008, Armenia’s major financial structure, the Central Bank, was led by a highly ignorant person endowed with morally questionable qualifications, however, the president of the country was turning his blind eye to this fact. And only today, years later, they both realized what horrible teammates they had and what kind of titanic efforts was applied to correct their mistakes.

Of course, it’s true that Robert Kocharyan, all of our state institutions (except the army) are discredited. (As to who, when, and what contribution was made in discrecity, let’s put it aside). After the “gas” story, yes, the government was further discredited. But, the political struggle is also discredited among us, and one of its reasons is that it is not perceived as an open, honest, and principled struggle. It is perceived either as a different “gang” struggle being in the power, which ultimately has an economic basis, or as a settlement of some personal accounts of former teammates, as people would say: “burying the old dead.”

To avoid it from happening, a lot must change, but first and foremost, our esteemed former presidents should not participate in the ongoing political process, but it is a lot to be desired that they come up with general, conceptual nature of analyzes 3-4 times a year. Otherwise, the country’s former leaders are forced to insults against their former subordinates, actually admitting that these subordinates are their “unsuccessful staff”. The “staff” are also forced to say that they had extremely unsuccessful leaders and had delivered their services to the state, in spite of these leaders. They say to the predecessors that it was a paradise during our time, you came and ruined everything. To the present ones, they say that it was the hell during your time, we came and “corrected” everything. If we believe them all, it turns out that for 22 years we have lived in “lukewarm atmosphere” of unsuccessful leaders and unsuccessful staff.

… Of course, it is not ruled out that the recent actions were not spontaneous, and the activity of the second president has “Moscow sources”. It is a likely option, and as to what programs are being developed in the Kremlin, it’s hard to say. We need to ask Smbat Karakhanyan.
