To remind, more than 100 Afghan soldiers were killed or wounded in a Taliban attack on an army base on Friday. Afghanistan’s defense ministry reported, fighting lasted for several hours near the city of Mazar-e Sharif in northern Balkh province.
As part of the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), Armenia contributes up to 130 peacekeepers in Afghanistan, that serves under the German command primarily responsible for training and assisting Afghan national army units.
