‘If Taron Margaryan elected, I’ll leave the city council’

May 11,2017 14:30

A “Yerkir Tsirani” candidate for Yerevan City Council, a doctor of technical sciences Vahan Hamazaspyan thinks that besides the Armenian government, there should also be a government of Yerevan. During the meeting with the journalists at “Noyyan Tapan” pressroom, he announced that if Taron Margaryan becomes the mayor, he will leave the city council. “Seeing the policy of our Prime Minister, in no way can I take him as a political figure who’s taken a course on anti-crisis.”

In all the problems existing in our country, Mr. Hamazaspyan blames the ruling RPA, and the chances of “Yerkir Tsirani” judging from the attitude of the society, according to him, are high. The scientist ensures that they are problems about which Taron Margaryan is not aware of and can’t even imagine. “Maybe Zaruhi Postanjyan and Nikol Pashinyan won’t be able to solve those problems either, but we should at least try. After being elected, every new mayor realizes that people understand that he is not able to solve this kind of problems, so he just has to be thrown away like a plug, unless the one that can solve those problems shows up.”

In Mr. Hamazaspyan’s opinion, there haven’t been any positive changes since Taron Margaryan’s election. “Corruption was developed, there wasn’t anything done for the benefit of the industry, and if they made a few playgrounds in some yards, then it hasn’t been done with his father’s money, and being a son of a prime minister is not enough for being a good mayor.
