Preventing corruption, a small issue to Galust Sahakyan

June 09,2017 18:48

“Those are trivial, small issues, ask about those to the newly appointed deputies”, said the former NA president, Republican deputy Galust Sahakyan in response to the journalists’ question. Reporters had asked him a question referring to the newly established Corruption Prevention Commission, what that institution would be capable of, especially that we have had such commissions before, but actually we have not seen any significant changes.

In response to the journalists’ statement, Galust Sahakyan said, “You’re asking trivial and senseless questions. Whenever you prepare questions for me, I’ll answer”. To the question, whether this institution is not “on the taxpayers’ hands”, Galust Sahakyan responded, “If you don’t believe in anything, then you shouldn’t expect anything”.

Galust Sahakyan did not like the next question, whether the “big cheese” people would be brought to justice within this commission’s framework, as the president had ordered. He entered his office and locked the door.
