Concerning to the demand of the money collected in the USA for April War victim Hovsep Kirakosyan, Lusine, fundraising initiator Lena Mueller’s mother, told Aravot.am that the victim’s family returned, saying that they have no financial problems.
“In July, his mother talked with my husband and me and said that they do not need donations. Money was sent last week and we transferred money next morning, it was sent to the Wounded Soldiers Fund within a few hours. If banks worked at night, we would make the transfer the same night when they returned”, said Lusine Mueller.
In response to our observation that the victim’s wife did not understand why the money was taken back, our interlocutor said that they had contacted the victim’s mother at the beginning, gave money to her. But when they announced they did not have financial problems, a need of donations, too, they demanded money from her.
According to her, they did not choose the Kirakosyan family, but since they were from Ejmiatsin, they preferred to support a hero family from Echmiadzin and they were advised to donate to the Kirakosyan family.
According to Lusine Mueller, when organizing the donation, there was a clear approach from the beginning to help the poor family of the dead hero. Lena Mueller, the 18-year-old daughter of Lusine Mueller, initiated it.
Pursued to our interlocutor, after receiving a donation for his brother Kirakosyans’ younger son began to pursue her daughter.
“We asked to leave our family quiet. But the boy continued to persuade and persecute our daughter. If we were silent, it meant that we tolerated the program of kidnapping 17-18-year-old benefactor girl with benefiting money. The brother of the victim had a desire to kidnap my daughter. He sent letters to my daughter constantly persuading her to visit Armenia and promised to send the ticket money. He said, my Lena, if you come to Armenia, I swear that I will not let you go, when you come, you must forget America”.
