Opera singer living in Switzerland, famous mezzo-soprano Varduhi Khachatryan told Aravot.am that the Viva Cello concert to be held on October 12th at the Victoria Hall in Geneva, which was organized by the help of the Armenian embassy, will be dedicated to the memory of world-famous singer Charles Aznavour.
The concert was organized by the “Avetis” cultural association, which was founded in 2011 by Varduhi Khachatryan, with the purpose of presenting the Armenian culture and musicians to Europe.
The Armenian mezzo-soprano announced that cellists, Armenian national artist Narek Hakhnazaryan, French “little prince of the cello” Edgar Moron, and Armenian national artist, pianist Hayk Melikyan will be performing at the concert. They will play numbers by Tchaikovsky, Chopin, Massenet, Faure, Saint-Saens, Paganini, Piazzolla, and others.
The people present at the concert will be able to write their condolences in a special book dedicated to Aznavour at the end of the concert.
