On 17–19 October, an expert from Austria will visit Armenia to share knowledge and experience on international best practice in the establishment of a Parliamentary Budget Office (PBO).
The visit is being organised by the European Commission’s Technical Assistance and Information Exchange Instrument (TAIEX), in cooperation with the Armenian National Assembly.
Based on the Austrian PBO, the expert will discuss the appropriate framework conditions for an efficient functioning of a PBO and support in the development of products and services.
Moreover, together with their Armenian counterparts, the expert will review ways to efficiently communicate the results of the PBO analysis and deal with practical problems in the cooperation with members of parliament, the administration and the supreme audit institution.
