Modest Kolerov: ‘The USA politically supported Pashinyan, now Pashinyan has to pay it back’

October 28,2018 15:40

“Bolton’s statements in Armenia were a demand for Pashinyan to pay back the USA for the political support it showed to Pashinyan. The USA politically supported Pashinyan, and now Pashinyan has to pay it back in a practical way. For example, through dynamically changing the Artsakh conflict resolution process, which can be presented as an American initiative,” Editor-in-Chief of the Russian “Regnum” news agency, chief Russian political analyst Modest Kolerov said to “168 Hours” in an interview. He spoke about the National Security Advisor of the US, John Bolton, and his visit to Armenia. Therefore, according to Kolerov, Nikol Pashinyan is indebted to the United States, and they are reminding him of the debt he has to pay.

“If everything continues in the way it is, the issue of the Artsakh resolution process will get worse. Nikol will be forced to do something. That is his first serious problem,” Kolerov said.

Regarding Russia, according to him, Russia will not interfere, but will follow the ongoing developments. According to Kolerov, Moscow is satisfied with the military discussions it had with Pashinyan.
