The Azerbaijani delegation tried to make anti-Armenian speeches at the PACE summer session. Member of the Armenian delegation to the PACE and member of the “My Step” faction Tatevik Hayrapetyan spoke to reporters about this. According to her, the Azerbaijani delegates even talk about “occupation” during discussions about environmental issues. “In our speeches, we called upon them to stop. We understand that you are a corrupt country, but you cannot blame us for all crimes. They received adequate answers and became irritated by it not only at the PACE plenary session, but also during other events.”
According to Tatevik Hayrapetyan, “Azerbaijani delegates were trying to make their saboteurs seem as though they are being held captive. I have clearly pointed out that these people are criminals and my voice was heard. If such conversations turn into a dispute, believe that no European delegate will even listen to their arguments. When they speak, most of the delegates leave because they’re saying the same things over and over. They received an answer, but one with facts. We will not lower ourselves to their level.”
