An English teacher from Kapan, Marine Sahakyan, has been living in China for approximately two years. As she was looking for a job, she saw announcements that said English teachers were needed in a city in China. She applied for the job and she was accepted. She now lives with her daughters in Shandong.
“There have been no confirmed cases of the coronavirus near us. We are very far away from Wuhan, where the virus originated,” Marine said. According to her, there is no panic where they are. It seems that people have adapted to this temporary lifestyle. “All classes will be held online until April on Skype. People have willingly reduced their personal meetings to a minimum. We barely ever leave the house,” she said. They uphold all the rules and wear masks when they leave the house.

They even check you before letting you into the store. They’re doing everything they can to prevent the virus from spreading,” Marine said.

“I should also mention that I have traditional vodka at home. We also use that. Why not, sometimes I even drink 100 grams. I also shared my mulberry vodka with my Chinese and other foreign friends. They are not disappointed in the results,” Marine Sahakyan joked.
