Call for proposals: grants for Armenian civil society organisations to support vulnerable groups

February 05,2021 16:54

EU NEIGHBOURS. The Czech Foundation People in Need (PIN) is launching a call for proposals for grants to Armenian civil society organisations (CSOs) that both address COVID-related health and socio-economic needs of vulnerable groups, and enable them to continue supporting their usual constituents.

This call is part of the regional ‘EU COVID-19 Solidarity Programme for the Eastern Partnership 2020-2022’ programme, funded by the European Union and implemented by PIN, which aims to support civil society organisations (CSOs) in responding to the immediate and longer-term impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic in the region. Throughout the programme, PIN will work with CSOs that support vulnerable households, including elderly people, minorities, youth, and women, and migrants/work migrants․

Proposed projects should demonstrate an understanding of the challenges faced by these vulnerable communities, including remote rural ones and people displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh. Successful proposals will suggest sustainable and long-term mechanisms for economic recovery, social and psychological services, and education.

This call for proposals is open to non-profit-making civil society organisations with the status of a legal entity, established in Armenia.  PIN will provide grants, each up to a maximum of 20,000,000 AMD. Each proposed grant project should not exceed 12 months.

The deadline for submission of applications is 20 February 2021. The final decision will be announced no later than March 2021. Potential applicants are invited to join an online information and Q&A session via the Zoom platform on 9 February.
