On March 27, a number of Azeri media outlets reported that the Azerbaijani “Azerigaz” company had allegedly eliminated the consequences of the accident on the Artsakh gas distribution line, and that gas supplies would be restored in Artsakh from March 29.
Please, be informed that the above-mentioned statement is false and provocative misinformation, and pursues the insidious goal of taking advantage of the difficult situation, misleading the Armenians of Artsakh and the international community in the information field.
We would like to inform you that natural gas enters the territory of the Artsakh Republic from the territory of the Republic of Armenia through one and only gas pipeline, and “Gazprom Armenia” CJSC is the company supplying gas (it is a 100% subsidiary of “Gazprom” OJSC).
Receipt and distribution of natural gas from the above-mentioned gas pipeline to its customers is carried out by “Artsakhgaz” CJSC.
Therefore, the Azerbaijani state oil company SOCAR mentioned in the statement or its subsidiary “Azerigaz” can not have anything to do with the gas supply process of the Artsakh Republic. It is technically and geographically impossible.
