Many Armenians are under severe stress after November 2020 and especially after September 2023. According to my impression, such people (among whom I also belong) in Armenia are not the majority. That is undoubtedly a bad sign. Suppose a person is infected with a deadly disease, but no part of his body feels pain. It means that the organism has no potential to resist and will die.
But for those whose organs (including the brain) have not yet been wholly anesthetized, many people are trying to understand where they went wrong. It’s not, at least in my case, like the meaningless “we’re all guilty” formula. If we are talking about handing over Artsakh and at least 150 square kilometers of the RA territory to the enemy, then the culprits here are known. It is the Russian-Turkish alliance and the henchman of that alliance, Nikol Pashinyan, with his team. (The fact that Pashinyan, with his limited perceptions, is trying to play games does not change the situation).
As for why most Armenian society is indifferent to all that, I also see my guilt here. In the second half of the 90s and 2000s, I contributed to the nihilism that prevails today. Opposing hypocrisy, I grinned when people talked about national values and faith.
Here, it was necessary to distinguish wet from dry. During that period, people often beat their chests, calling themselves “national figures” or “believers,” but it was clear that they were pretending and were busy ensuring their own welfare. Those people, of course, deserved to be ridiculed. But that irony, perhaps against my will, extended to actual, valid values.

Now is the time to right the wrongs and heal and heal others. Of course, it wouldn’t hurt for everyone to start by asking the question posed in the title of this publication.
