The purpose of the legislative initiative is to strengthen the social guarantees of our boys who have become beneficiaries of the Zinapah foundation. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Davit Khachatryan during the RA NA extraordinary session.
In the first reading, the Parliament debated the draft law on Making Addenda and Amendments to the law on Compensation for Damages Caused to the Life or Health of Servicemen During the Defense of the Republic of Armenia.
It is proposed that for 20 years, the beneficiaries of the Zinapah foundation should maintain the group in which they initially became a beneficiary and the amount of compensation was set, regardless of what changes in the disability group will occur in the future.
The co-rapporteur and the member of the Standing Committee on Labor and Social Affairs Lilit Stepanyan mentioned that the proposed amendment expresses the state’s clear attitude towards its soldiers. Presenting the endorsement of the Committee on the draft, she proposed her colleagues to vote for it.
