Member of the European Parliament from Luxembourg, Fernand Kartheiser, sent a letter to the Azerbaijani ambassador to the EU, Vagif Sadigov, expressing hope that ahead of the COP29 conference, Baku would take measures to address the most urgent issues, including the release of Armenian prisoners of war and unlawfully detained individuals.
In the letter, published on his X microblog, Kartheiser noted that Baku should:
- Guarantee the territorial integrity of Armenia,
- Preserve Armenian cultural heritage in Nagorno-Karabakh,
- Release political prisoners.”
