On the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the Yerevan Press Club (YPC), the prestigious Ethical Journalism Awards ceremony was held at the Ibis Yerevan Center Hotel. The awards are organized under the framework of the EU-funded “Media Quality and Resilience Initiative” project.
The ceremony commenced with an opening address by YPC President Artur Papyan.
Welcoming remarks were delivered by Frank Hess, Head of Cooperation of the EU Delegation to Armenia; Nune Sargsyan, Executive Director of the Media Initiatives Center; and Boris Navasardian, Honorary President of the YPC and Chairman of the Media Ethics Observatory.

The Ethical Journalism Award aims to champion the development of ethical journalism in Armenia and encourage local media outlets and reporters to consistently uphold professional standards and the provisions of the Code of Ethics of Armenian Broadcasters and Journalists.
The 2026 Ethical Journalism Award laureates are:
- Suren Deheryan, Founding Editor of Ampop Media – Awarded for his outstanding commitment to maintaining high professional standards.
- Harutyun Mansuryan, Project Manager at Hetq Media Factory – Awarded for his dedicated mentorship, supporting the growth of novice journalists, and helping them unlock their professional potential.
- Gayane Khachatryan, Journalist at Factor TV – Awarded for her comprehensive, high-quality coverage of the country’s socio-political life.
- Hayk Navasardyan, Commentator at Armenia TV – Awarded for delivering balanced and objective coverage during the 2026 Parliamentary Elections.
The awards were presented by Nune Sargsyan, YPC Vice President Seda Shiganyan, Frank Hess, and YPC Executive Director Armenuhi Soukiasyan.
The event concluded with congratulatory remarks and warm wishes from YPC members and representatives of partner organizations.
