“Rule of Law” (OEK) deputy leader alludes to the former head of OEK youth union who now supports Serge Sargsyan.
“Rule of Law” newspaper publishes the articles of those NGO leaders who support Arthur Baghdasaryan’s candidacy. Among them are Dezi Hovanisyan, the chairman of “European Democratic Movement” NGO, Ekaterina Simonyan, the chairman of “Collaboration” NGO, “Amrots” NGO chairman Gayane Ispiryan. The speech of Sergey Hovasapyan, the chairman of “Armenian youth scientific research center” NGO is the most interesting among them: “We don’t have a state authority: we have a group of persons who, using the authority levers, pursue their personal interests which oppose to the state interests”. Contrary to this standpoint, Arthur Baghdasaryan, distorting RA First President Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s speech made on September 21 about destroying the corruption pyramid, declared that his party won’t join the RA First President because “we are against destroying the state authority system. We have built a country, good or bad, which is an independent country, and our flag is hanged in many countries of the world as a symbol of our independence”. Now it becomes clear that there are persons among Arthur Baghdasaryan’s supporters who think that we don’t have a state authority at all.
“Aravot” gave a question during the press conference at OEK office that how do they explain the fact that though Arthur Baghdasaryan is the second presidential candidate according to Gallup poll results but the whole anti propaganda is focused on Levon Ter-Petrosyan whose rating, according to the poll results is less than OEK leader’s? OEK deputy leader Mher Shahgelyan who will also be responsible for the pre-electoral campaign, answered; “We are against any anti propaganda against any politician if we speak about free and fair elections. Equal media arena, equal opportunities, equal presentation, people should be equally informed and make their selection after”.
OEK deputy leader Heghine Bisharyan who leads the office of public relations of Arthur Baghdasaryan’s nomination and the head of his pre-electoral headquarters expressed her anxiety about unequal air conditions. “Arthur Baghdasaryan was broadcasted only 4-5 times after NA elections while the candidate of the authority and his supporters are broadcasted constantly”.
