Today Aharon Adibekyan, the head of the “Sociometer” sociological center, analyzed and predicted during his press conference that the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP), the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF), the Rule of Law Party (RLP) and the Armenian National Congress (ANC) will be represented in the newly-elected parliament. “In order to be elected, one needs to have human resources, political figures, organizational structures, finances, good information channels, good relationship with the establishment and local leaders. One can be successful, if he has all this”, stated the sociologist, deeming that RPA, PAP, ANC, RLP and ARF have those resources and as for the Heritage Party, it is a little doubtful. Today, during an interview given to a website, Armen Badalyan, a specialist on political and electoral technologies, had an opportunity to refer to the Heritage Party. He claimed once again that there were only 5 forces on the political stage, three of which, RPA, PAP and ANC, were influential, and two ARF and the Heritage Party not so much.
Taking into account that the sociologist and the political technologist, being people siding with different political camps, assess the rating of the Heritage Party and the possibility of its appearing in the newly-elected National Assembly in the same way, we asked Stepan Safaryan, the head of the parliamentary faction of the Heritage Party, whether the party really had such a low rating to be elected to the National Assembly.
“The fact that they repeat the same thing ‘with a heavy heart’, following each other on the even and odd days, means that the Heritage Party has good chances to be elected to the parliament, which makes them anxious. How many times will they repeat the same thing – one starts to laugh at those people, one even wants to convey condolences to them. This has already become the Theater of the Absurd. People have put themselves in a poor position. They repeat it very often, because they are concerned that they cannot influence people’s minds psychologically by their ‘predictions’ and cannot fulfill the task assigned by the client. The situation is obviously completely opposite, which causes some people to speak of the subject that the Heritage Party will not be elected”, stated the head of the faction.
In that case, how Safaryan himself assesses the rating of the Heritage Party at the moment, “Providing how frequently people make such statements about the Heritage Party, very high.”
